Great stuff.. I do not mind that as it will save a couple of gallons of diesel, but the £12+ option, they can stick it where the sun fails to shine.. We would go up to Stroud and find somewhere nice there for a day or two before wending our way to Shell Island :)
Andddd.. Are there toll booths there ? It looks like there are, but it would be nice to be sure before committing to that route

Its worth it though isn't it?

We even let you out for nothing.

Well that remains to be seen !! Last time we went to Shell Island we got ripped off BIG TIME ( long story, not worth repeating and it was not Shell Island as such but a piece of sh!t oik who was temping there and took us for a ride.. never found out until we got home and posted how expensive it had been to go there !! )

Quite agree, but coming North on the M5, its a long way to go round.
I closed my eyes, paid up and thought of how the Welsh economy would benefit from my money.
£6.50 Would provide leeks for a full year for a pensioner.
Or rebuild cardiff ?

They have just started on the bus station - it's great to see English money making a contribution at last, but Hey, Cameron and Osborne did say they will reduce the charge (by about 20p) I think starting in 2019 (or somewhere so far in the future that they will have forgotten about it by then.

Unfortunately it is not the Welsh economy that is gaining by the bridge toll but the French, as almost everything else in the UK it was sold to a foreign company many years ago and they reap the benefit of it now.

If it is a motorhome it does not make any difference whether it is 3.5ton or a 10 ton tag axle it is still £6.50.
If it is a commercial van or even a mini van then it is a hell of a lot more

No, mines 3.5t but i may be wrong but iff your driving a van with side windows its classed at car rate regardless of weight or axle type as long as its not like an artic lorry or a coach size commercial ?

£6.50 to visit Wales is worth every penny
No charge going the other way makes sense.

That would be the option I would use too, if we were not gonna be travelling up from darkest Cornwall :)
