Purcahsed a semi flexible 80 Watt solar panel to fit as i did not want the panel sitting up off the roof as standard for a number of reasons:Blush:.

    this is the finished job.

the panel is only 2.5mm thick and bonds directly to the roof with sikaflex. its a real neat finish and easy to do:thumb:. although the panels are not as cheap as the standard raised off the roof panels:Blush:.

they claim you can walk on them :Eeek: and can be bonded to a contoured roof ( not that i want to walk on the roof let alone the Solar panel ).

bought on Flee bay with some trepidation :Eeek: but all is well delivered within 2 days and a nice panel that is "doing what it said on the tin"!:thumb:

not cheap, but have gone up £10.25 since bought mine. but its a piece of cake to fit and is really sleek, no problems cleaning leaves and debris from the gap underneath, no added hight or wind noise.

well thats my excuses for parting with the extra readies...

Ooops I can't buy from any of the Lensun sellers since I left negative feedback I'm barred :Rofl1:

They look good and I'd consider something similar when I get my new Rapido :thumb:

The normal way of mounting them is to keep them cooler and also easier to service.

Hi Brian, i was aware of that, but had read good things about the panels and the claim is that the alloy sheet it is moulded onto 2mm thick reflects / disipates the heat . i have choosen to believe the blurb ( not alway wise i know ) I guess only time will tell.

The only servicing a solar needs is the occasional wipe and a check there are no leaves etc laying on them.
The heat in Summer may reduce performance but in winter Sun they should be fine and most productive
