Has anyone got any experience with self levelling hydraulic systems as I am thinking about having one added to the Autotrail this year, I am interested in the operation and stability of the systems, Van weighs 5 tonne so not worried about the extra mass of the system

We have an E&P hydraulic system fitted to the Carthago, it is super, really stable & so simple to use. The Carthago is a tad under 7.5T so I guess 5T should be no problem. I am told that the system is by necessity is quite heavy but if you have the payload I would recommend them.

We also have the E&P system on our AT Comanche, it is really good, we wouldn't be without it now. As for stability it is top notch, certainly don't get any movement whilst inside and when it is blowing hard it is very stable.

We also have E & P on our Hymer, very happy with it so far...but we think it needs resetting so that it works on auto. Still trying to find some completely level land.

I have air suspension and E&P hydraulics. The air is great for ride, lack of noise and comfort, but for leveling the hydraulics beat it hands down. Push of a button and the truck is level and nailed rigidly to deck, so it feels like you're in an apartment rather than a vehicle on tyres, noticeable in wind or people moving around inside.

I have the full air by VB...... fully auto..... Or you select for the terrain you are driving over... Auto Level for when you are driving.... Tilt one side to empty all tanks completely... Park up & Camping mode....

This is a photo at Zahora last winter.... normally I would have had to put the front wheels up 4 - 6 inch high ramps... but with the VB system... you just drop the rear down and raise the front.. (y)

Are the E&P hydraulics expensive?

We have E & P which was on our van when we bought it and swear by it. To have it fitted today, doubt you'd have any change out of £5k

very close indeed, £5 short of £5K plus £200 for optional remote control we are having

as we are having that and VB suspension fitted at same time got it back down to £5K just

using SAP in Doncaster (y)
