I have a Peugeot Boxer Elddis Autostratus on a 1999 plate with a 2.5D engine.

The oil breathers are starting to split near the unions and jubilee clips. These hoses seem to be hard to acquire so I am considering self fusing tape.

My question therefore, has anyone tried this before or had experience using this material and can advise if this will be suitable.

Cheers

I've never used it on oily pipes but I don't think it would be too successful, you could try replacing the hoses with silicon tubing if the runs aren't too complicated ?

self fusing .. or self amalgamating tape as I know it, is designed for insulating electrical joints.. and it's great stuff

but as said, I don't think it will be successful on oily pipe..

many many years! since I was a kid
self fusing tape is only ever going to be a temporary fix. as said silicone hoses will replace the split ones

Just starting
I've used it to repair a flexible rubberized pipe between the air filter and carb on a motorbike. That worked fine until I obtained a proper replacement a few months later.
