I've finally had time to take apart my flyscreen which wouldn't retract. The end cap that holds the rod in place, a piece of plastic has snapped which I'm assuming caused the tension to go.

It looks like the attached in the photo. Does anyone know if I have a seitz blind from seeing the photo and would this be a replacement part.

many many years! since I was a kid
yes that appears to be a sietz end cap. quite a common failure point as the small lugs hold the flattened end of the bar static against the spring pressure. if the blind is pulled down to hard, the lugs crack off

There are Seitz blind repair kits on Ebay but they do not look like the photo above.
