Hi,
I am looking to fit a bike carrier on my Ducatio Motorhome.
Any recommendations for 2-3 Bike Carrier?
How easy to fit, a little cautious about drilling into the body of 1991 van.
My local motorhome emporium quoted me an astronomical sum for supply and fitting. Ebay seems to have some carriers for 120 - 160 pounds.
Regards
Dave

First hting to do would be to contact MH maker, for best location to fit.

Fitting is fairly easy. The most important thing is to fit two steel tubes, the same width as the panel into the hole you drill, so that when you tighten the fittings, you don't compress and damage the panel.

Make sure that the holes through the panel are well sealed to stop water ingress.

You should get fairly comprehensive instructions with the rack. I have a 3 cycle Fiamma Pro rack fitted to my Hobby. Thule also make a similar carrier. Both are freely available, and are of extremely good quality.

Have fun

We have a towbar fitted bike rack made by Witter. Works very well and leaves the towball available for use if required. We put 2 bikes on it but I seem to remember the box it came in said up to 4 bikes.

Not a brilliant picture of the rack but you can see how it stays nicely away from the bodywork

Hope this helps :thumb:
