Sealant round awning light fitting (1 Viewer)

We've just had to change our awning lightbulb. It involved taking off the cover and the sealant that was on there was all dry and flaky. What sealant is the right thing to replace it? Obviously we don't want one that would prevent us getting in there again.

Hi Mags just get a tube of general purpose mastic about £1 a tube -It never sets hard so you can get it off again to change bulbs as and when

If you were able to fit something like this http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=1 you would have little problem removing it in the future. I have bought from the company before and they provide good service.
