image.jpg We left Peterborough about 11am had a easy run up the A1.m with a couple of stops done 170 miles and stopped for the night at @BritStops 751 a nice Organic Farm Shop (off to do some shopping) . Tomorrow we will have a night at CCC at Keswick, then we will start making our way up to the North Coast 500, sun out but a bit windy. :)

We never seem to have much of a problem with midges when we go up to the Highlands in May - now I'm tempting fate!!!!

We've been thinking about doing this route for months now, because we have a wedding to go to in the lakes in mid June, thought we could just carry on up North and have a look around.

We have had two very good days in Keswick taking in the sunshine just sitting listening to a guy playing his guitar and singing, then strolling along the river, seems unbelievable that a lot of it was under water not so long ago.
Up handy this morning and on the road at 8.45 Just crossed the border heading for Arisaig today.

There is a lovely campsite at Sunnyside just after Arisaig with direct access to the beach and great views. Love this part of the Highlands - have a great time

Silversands at Arisaig is also on the beach and a very popular campsite.
Are you looking for a campsite or are you gonna wildcamp?

Quick update, we have had a wonderful journey through Loch Lomond and Glencoe the weather was a gift, 23 miles and we will be on our favourite Camp site on the beach for a few days before we get to Applecross and the 500 adventures begin, (Not got enough internet to put pictures on yet.)

Look out for WildAx Owners' Club members too, at least three vans doing it.

Hi David, we will be doing the 500 but with a few detours like today 270 miles Keswick to Arisaig :)

Will give your new van a good run, stunning views

    Thank you loving it.
Hi agree it's one of our favourite places we are on a camp site just a bit further on that we love, right on the beach, about 3 steps from the van and we are on the beach, ponies wondering around, quite rustic its Invercaimbe we have been going there for years :)

@irnbru we are doing a mixture, some wild some sites (y)

Hopefully you may get some info (y)

Love it Carol, jealous and excited for you, I so love Scotland

Years ago we had an amazing family holiday while staying in Arisaig, back in tugging days, took a boat trip to Staffa and Rhum, the highlight of the trip was literally passing over a Minke whale, a truly amazing day for us

    love the pictures (y)
