Been given the OK from hospital to travel, so we are off on Thursday. Travelling has been on hold for 18 months, so to say we are excited is an understatement.

As we have little Zippy with us now we have had to pick our ferries carefully. So we are crossing Dover to Calais then driving up to Frederikshavn, Denmark to catch the ferry over to Gothenberg, Sweden. Garry (Flatpackchicken) is coming too, as he did on the last adventure to Scandinavia, we are also meeting another Funster who lives in Sweden, that will be AlfandM (Alf and Marianne). AlfandM invited us for a cuppa two years ago and we have become firm friends. We will be meeting them at their place near Sundsvall before all heading off together to find some peaches of places to camp and fish. (Alf hope you have been doing your homework). Cooking on the open fire the fish we catch - haha! We are not going to travel so much as last time. This time we will be chilling and fishing by some lovely lakes and rivers, moving on each week to a different place. We have loose plans, but we are thinking of driving some of the Wilderness Road again and popping over into Norway, again to do a bit of fishing. When and if we have had enough and have some time left we might visit Germany and possibly go to one of the POW camps before catching the ferry back on the 14th September ready to prepare for the Adventure Overland Show on 27th September.

Not sure of the coverage we will get from our 3 Mifi, but will post when we can.

    Nigel, Pamala and Zippy

Yes, sounds like you will have a very good time and if you can't get in touch while away or are too chilled to bother :) just post all the pictures when you get back.

Been on that crossing before, have never been on the part of Denmark up to the north so will be new territory for us. We also love Sweden, that and Portugal are our two favourites.

Our 3 Mifi coverage was great all throughout of Scandinavia even in what we considered to be remote areas
We've got a roof mounted aerial which may have made a difference
