Only had satellite internet less than a week and already I’m not happy.
Brilliant installation and handover by Vanbitz at Taunton but I signed up for a 6mbs unlimited service with Broadband Everywhere (nothing to do with Vanbitz) and the best I’ve seen is 3mbs and often less than1mbs.
I’ve spoken to them a few times and they have checked everything is configured correctly and have told me it’s just down to congestion and their fair use policy. I’ve only used 3gb running various tests throughout and it looks like once you go beyond 7gb in a month you get less than 1mbs as a starting point. This all seems a bit of a rip-off to me. I had planned to try and work from the motorhome to extend holidays but these speeds will make that almost impossible for me.
I am still within the 14 day cancellation period so can anyone recommend another provider with less restrictions? I don’t mind paying but I do expect to get what I pay for.
