I remember reading a few threads on this and thought I'd let some know that on my oyster 85cm and humax freesat box I'm getting all channels except bbc2.....

Sorry Gus, when we lived in Aguilas we shared a 2.4m dish, that was hit and miss, here in Totana, its totally different, and yesterday on a 85 cm Oyster I started to get everything, I sent a PM to @Satandpcguy he said it could be down to conditions currently being perfect for reception.....cold nights/warm days. Contact him yourself and ask about changing your LNB...I did a couple of years ago....it made all the difference.& I'm 30kms further down & don't get anything on a1,2m dish.

Been there & done all that .It does .& always has, varied depending on time of year, proximity ofearth to satellite, also when satellite is in line with sun behind at around 11am in winter you can lose some or all of it for a while.
A 2,4 is the only real answer but there isn't anything I want to watch that's worth that sort of money.

I can get all apart (but not BBCHD, ITVHD C4HD) where I am on my 80cm dish (Gandia, Valencia)
Yep...still got everything....come and see for yourself.....Not Magic or Trickery of any sort.

Took my DRX890 Amstrad Sky+Box to Jumar's and could get some BBC Regional services through his setup.
I saw that he is getting all BBC and ITV channels on his Oyster 2 80cm van dish through a Strong 7404 receiver in Totana.
