some one some where, told me of an app that would show the line of site for sat tv, you hold up your phone looking through the camera, and a red line shows if the sat dish is in line with the satellite, plus it will show if a tree is in the way..... anybody know what it's called?

It wont show you a tree but you will see one if its in the way, you simply
put phone in to camera mode when usingthe app, swing around to line up red line and you can see the view as if your taking a pic
even if a tree is in sight it wont always mean you wont get a signal

There are a few....
Dishpointer
Satellite Director
Satfinder
Satfinder Lite

I found the latter to be easy to use and the most accurate....and the one i use to check line of sight and potential obstructions prior to any installation.
