Departing from Santander next Wednesday. Does anyone know if you can park at the port with our van about 6 hours before sailing? Can you walk into town from the port?

Give is a wave, we're going the other way, the same time, meet you in the middle probably, not too close though! Leave the nice weather there!
Is there a filling station getting off the ferry in Santander?
How much is the fuel there now please?

My brother and I spent a day and half in Santander at the end of our cycle ride along the Pyrenees in June and having been there before and been a little underwhelmed this last visit was a revelation.

If you look at a map the centre of the town is not far from the train stations but if you turn right outside the port and walk with the sea on your right along the front to where there is a lot of building work (a cultural centre I believe) you will find inland from there a very pleasant area of bars and restaurants. We found a place called El Grand Cru and had the best meal of our trip there.
