Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
We've got a safari room and its great! more than doubles useable space in van.
We even use it if only away for a weekend, only takes around 30 mins to put up or take down.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Yes we have the fiamma zip store.
Very quick , once you've got the hang of it, to zip it together.
We use it more in the winter than summer and use it just for weekends too.:thumb:

many many years! since I was a kid
I will do at some point, just noticed it had the zip at the sides but not sure how the front would hook on
under the front edge of the canopy you will find a moulded in channel. the front panel slides into this with a kador type bead as found on caravan awnings. very very easy to do

also rather than a heavy safari room there is now a company that makes lightweight panels at a fraction of the cost... lilypad leisure I believe

We used to have a safari room which was great if we were staying put for more than a few days. They are quite heavy to carry and not ideal if you like to hop from one place to another. Brilliant for extra space, our two eldest children used to sleep in the inner tent in the awning, saved making the extra beds up in the van. Now we have a new van with a longer awning so have gone for the end panels from Windblockers, fantastic product. ::bigsmile:
