Sad to say that we are no longer Motorhome owners, our loved "kennel" was driven away last week. I've not been well for a couple of years (cancer & spine fractures) and finally bit the bullet of letting it go. Two summers of it sitting on the drive hoping that we would be able to take it out have proved too much for us. Got rid of it now before the summer sets in.
Still positive though, if I improve as much as I have over the last 3 months the thought is we would return again next year, perhaps wishful thinking but I hope not. The "boss" has never been too keen with it, but percivered for my sake. If we do come back it will be with a MH that is more suited to my needs, twin beds mainly, as I have problems getting out of a fixed French bed, in fact I can't!
I'm remaining on Funsters though, just renewed for another year, and will keep reading and occasionally posting.
Now putting together a list of equipment I propose to sell, look at the sale forum shortly, however two big items are a Toad (Toyota Aygo) and a pump up drive away awning.

Thanks for the friendliness of the last 3 or 4 years

Not sure a 'like' is appropriate but glad you are positive and staying around.
Hope you improve and get back on the road soon.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Got everything crossed that you'll be back on the road with a more suitable motorhome soon. It pays to look forward & not back, good luck.

On and off for many years.
Sorry to hear your problems.

It must have been very sad watching the motorhome depart - but with the positive attitude you know that in a few months there will be something better and more suited to your needs waiting for you.

Can understand your sadness but there are always other things you can do and you sound like a positive kind of person.
I hope your health goes from strength to strength.

Best wishes to you and your wife Charlie ,hope things go well for you both .If you ever get really fed up Charles and get the urge to sit in a motorhome you can always come and sit in mine and if you feel really desperate you can take it for a drive then when you come back if you want you can give it a really good polish lol.Harry & Shirley.x

Sad to reach this point after a couple of frustrating years, such a shame. But -
if I improve as much as I have over the last 3 months the thought is we would return again next year
- sounds as though you're not giving up the dream and you've got plans!
Wishing you well and hoping that you get your twin-bed on the road.

Such a sad story, but I think you have done the right thing. I hope you continue with your health progress, and fingers crossed, you could be on the road again. Staying on the forum is a great idea. Good luck.

Sad news indeed. We went the other way, upgraded after bad spell and a lost year. Not enough time to do everything we want, the Norway thread has got me envious again. Hope all goes well and you can do the things you want in the not too distant future.

We are sorry to hear of the problems you are faced with and the decision to let the m/h go.

As others have said motorhoming is great but your health is more important. Here's hoping you do pick up again and then have the problem(?) of deciding what to do next.

Best wishes.

You've done the right thing. Leaving a vehicle standing doesn't do it any good. Hope your health improves soon and that you can get back on the road. Nice that you are sticking around here.

Sorry about the situation but pleased you keeping in touch. Driving with spine problems is agony and I guess many of us have to make similar decisions in the end.

Your friendships made along the way can continue and you must have made some lovely memories.
