We're coming back to the UK in a week and are stopping initially with some friends on a farm, although it's very cheap it has no facilities as far as power and waste, so in case we get fed up of it there i'd like to find out if there are any sites anywhere close we can go to, we'd like to stay in the general area, but no closer to London.
any suggestions?!

Re

Nope, they're fully booked up for a while, any sites recommended west of the M25 but not too far down that are RV friendly? and aren't way overpriced this time of year?

luckily we've actually got used to not having electric hookup and full facilities so are a lot more flexible with sites, but we need to stay not too far from maidenhead for the vets, and not too far from somerset for a garage!

just found out today we have to move on friday...

Shame about Hurley Riverside Park being full. Very popular site that.:winky:

Try

Henley on Thames Caravan club site. ( Four Oaks ) They certainly can take 40 foot
but I do not know if they will. The Caravan Club site at Denham has put a length restriction
on but I do not know if they inforce it. ( come to think of it that is a stupid comment of course they inforce it )

Swiss Farm International at Henley is a bit tight for 40 foot.

California Chalet and Touring Park at Wokingham is not far away and used to take 40 footers
but I do not know if it still does.

Otherwise try Highclere Farm at Beaconsfield they can certainly take 40 foot.

Hi

We recently joined the stopover club below. It is basically a nationwide network of pub stopovers, follow link for more info.

Link Removed

We have stayed at a couple so far, and have not only found them very useful, but also very friendly.

There is one in Maidenhead and another in Reading, the latter having more facilities.

Hope it is helpful

Looked all over! been going through the caravan club book and ringing, the problem is; its Royal Ascot soon so all the sites in the area seem booked up until the 22nd, and it's a popular area anyway.
going to try further over to the west, near Frome.

any suggestions? :winky:
