Its our 20th wedding anniversary this year so I thought we should plan a special trip. We both love the idea of visiting Russia, particularly Red Square, Kremlin etc but have no idea if it's possible.
Has anybody done it? if so can you give me a few pointers? I'm sure wild camping would be a no no but not sure if there are any campsites in or around Moscow.
Any help would be appreciated.

Watching YouTube crash videos of which many are Russian would put anyone off.

The seriously amazing thing about Russia is it's size. Get to Moscow and you have barely scratched the surface.

Straight line:
London - Moscow 1500 miles
London - South Morocco 1500 miles.
London to east Russia 4000 miles.
Width USA 2700 miles.

So surely Putin is the No 1 man on the planet.

If you want to make a bit of a trip out of it instead of boring flights think about going by train.

It's simple enough - Eurostar to Paris or Brussels, from there to Berlin and then on to Moscow. It doesn't cost much at all, the Eurostar is the most expensive bit, and you can tailor the trip with as many stop offs as you want.

It's the first leg of a trip I've always wanted to do which is Singapore by train.
