Just signed up, so hello to everyone.

I collect the MH on BH Monday and drive the 5 hours back up to Rothbury. My
first outing, should be interesting.

We have had different motorhomes in the past including, a 1980 VW LT28 then a 95 Bongo and lastly prior to going over to NZ a 1993 6 Berth Talbot Express.

Our latest is an old A Class Pilote it has the inside configuration that suits us.

Cannot wait to give it a first outing.

Loved the county, my sister lived just outside Alnwick before she died last year, it has unkind memories for us now, but hope to revisit sometime.
Welcome to the Fun.

Welcome! That'll be an interesting first drive on bank holiday Monday! Is there nowhere local you can stay? It would give you an opportunity to check everything out before driving home.

Going down by train so limited as what I can take (sleeping bag etc) so
I will bimble along and have some stops for coffee.

Hi Higgy

Welcome to the FUN, nice bit of the world you come from, we try to get up to Snitter farm once a year for a visit to Cragside and surrounding walking and cycle routes.

Next time you are up in our neck of the woods, you could try these two eateries.

Oxford Farm Shop & Tea Rooms near Berwick. Very filling lunches.

The Running Fox at Felton just superb, you have to book otherwise you
may not get a table.

We came through Rothbury just a few days ago, been staying at Wooler then at Kielder, both good for walking.
Angler's Arms at Kielder village for good food ;)(y)
