We spent a month in Croatia (Istria peninsular) during June this year (2014). We had previously visited the country when it was Yugoslavia back in 1987 and fell in love with the place and it's people.
This time around we found it to be a beautiful and a great place for families to holiday. Lots of changes since our last visit, especially the number of campsites that had been set up (great!!). Great value for money with some wonderful history, so glad we returned and will probably go back again. I recommend you avoid the high season, the campsites become expensive and crowded. Visit May to end of June with your ACSI to get the best of everything. Their currency is the Kuna.
