Round interior lighting (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Excuse my ignorance, the 2 round interior lights have now collected a few dead flies/spiders !!! is it an easy job to:
A: take them off the ceiling to clean or
B: replace them with something 'modern' ?

I thought they just unscrewed from the base, but didn't want to force them, especially with my track record for breaking things.:Sad:

I was unsure how to remove mine to change the bulb. There was no screw or other obvious way to gain access. It turned out to be simply a flexible plastic lens that could be prised out with a screwdriver.
