I was wondering if anyone had any advice about improving the ride for passengers in the rear belted seats of my old MoHo. The ride is uncomfortable and nausea inducing on all but the smoothest and straightest of roads. I have considered changing the foam to a firmer type, but that would make the bed a bit hard in places.

I wondered if those car-seat lumbar-support kits would fit the bill. Any thoughts? I can't be the only one to experience this problem.

As well as the seat comfort, consider Air suspension..
Body roll in the back could be giving some effect....

You mention that your van is old so I wonder if part of the problem is that the foam has deteriorated past its useful life. That was the case in our van when we had the seats reupholstered last year when it was 11 years old. We only use our seats for sitting, not a bed, but found them far more comfortable as a result of having the foam replaced. Perhaps one of the various re-upholstery companies may be able to advise.

Another possibility, are you running too light? With a bit of additional "ballast" the suspension will be pushed down more. Could be that you aren't heavy enough currently for the suspension, thus causing a firm ride?

Part of the problem with rear passengers is the upright nature of the seats.
