Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Off on our first 'big trip' to Dorset next Tuesday, but we intend to get the very small and dark pop up rooflights replaced when we return, preferably with something bigger and lighter, Heiki for instance.
This will involve making the holes in the roof bigger, a pro job I think.........Any recommendations for firms in Lancashire who do this sort of work? Google seems strangely 'silent' on the subject.
Or are we smacking a dead horse with this idea? Plenty of roof space to enlarge, (Hymer Camp 64), and the light is sorely needed inside.
ta, Dave. ::bigsmile:

I'd go and see Link Removed since you have a Hymer, not far away in Preston. He knows them inside out .......

He'll have lots of advice and specialises in them. We take our van to him all the way from Suffolk when we need something major done, you live a lot nearer! :Smile:

Cheers

PS No connection, just a satisfied customer. You have to be patient as he is always busy!

good idea to engage a hymer specialist.

somewhere in the roof will be wooden trusses...last thing you need is to cut through, or into, one of those when enlarging the hole.

Make sure you choose the correct rooflights!

The rooflight manufacturers make motor home specific models. Not that it stops certain manufacturers fitting caravan ones!
Fit a caravan rooflight and draughts and rattles will prevail!!!!!!:Doh:
