Our Heki rooflight has just sprung a leak and needs reselling, I know how to do it but it's been hissing down for days and doesn't look like drying up anytime soon so needs to be undercover and done sooner rather than later.

Any recommendations for a repairer round the Manchester or in Lancashire? I seem to remember a recommendation for a guy in Leyland/Preston area but can't remember or find the thread.

    Ta very muchly.

    Reselling? Re-sealing even.

Yes that's what I need Andy, even to get it undercover for a couple of days I could do it myself
With the really poor spring we had I would have thought it would have shown up then and I could have fixed it in the long days of summer, we did have a summer didn't we?

Been round a few times for info on various things, even gave me free bits to repair shower tray.
Couple of guys working out of farm buildings. Lots of vans there, I think they've been there a while.

I managed to get up on the roof today about 2pm when it finally stopped bloody raining and had a good shufty. The original sealant has given up the ghost coming up to thirteen yrs old and there's a bodge so I started to scrape away what I could from this and I could then see what's happened.
If I get everything ready I should be able to do it in a couple or three hours but the weather is against me this week, it's tuff up norf th'nows :xangry:

we had a leak back in the summer :):), we had a lot of standing water on the roof, if yours is level where stored you might reduce the amount getting in by lifting one end or side

The other repair place we have used in Preston is Hambiltons, specialises in Hymers, but is always very busy
