We're looking to put our van in to storage for three months.

Should we fit a roof only cover as the vehicle will be outside ?

I've read a couple of posts about condensation though.

My main reason for thinking about the cover is to provide limited protection to the expensive 'external bits' stuck on the roof from unusual weather conditions and some other unpredictable possibility.

Bottomline is we won't be able to check the van everyday for three months.

a top cover is fine but if theres anything on the roof, ie..solar panel, sat dish etc with sharpish corners/edges, then with wind movement it will rub through the material in no time.

make sure the one you buy has fully breathable material.
