Just left Dover at the start of a 3 week tour of Italy.
We plan to visit Tuscany en route to Rome, Pisa and Sorrento in search of some Autumn sunshine.
We hope to stay at some Fatore Amico farms and wineries, and sample some great Italian wines.
Nothing has been booked, other than our return crossing, so we're free to go where we like - when we like.

    The adventure begins !

If anyone's interested, I'll post pics and details of the journey

If you want to do Florence and Pisa from one campsite, this site www.toscanavillage.com/en/ is sort of midway and on the railway line. We did Pisa one way and then several days the other to Florence. Pleasant train journey and great site restaurant... superb pizzas!

Should be a great trip, we did a month in Italy earlier in the year and it was too hot in June so hopefully the weather will be kinder to you. (y)

Florence is a must we love Florence and the whole Tuscany area. Pisa is ok a bit touristy but worth a visit.
Venice and Rome 2 of our favourite places especially Rome.
Been to Italy 3 times in the last 11 months love it our favourite country.
    Enjoy
Dont forget to post some pics.

Arrived in Reims - the Aire is full, but we've managed to squeeze in next to a bus, and blocked in a German Motorhome at the same time!
The new hydraulic levelling system we had fitted yesterday is getting its first proper test.
Need to find some dinner - starving

Would love to see some pics Rob, always wanted to go to Italy but haven't managed it yet, you look too young to be travelling around for weeks on end, shouldn't you be back for work on Monday :D

Hate to disappoint but we are not planning to visit either Florence or Sienna - sorry!
We visited them last year, and decided this time that Tuscany would be done differently, in that we would visit sone of the less visited destinations.
Tomorrow we are heading for the Mont Blanc tunnel

I would recommend driving the Amalfi coast, stunning views and many second homes to the stars, also Pompeii is fascinating on the way to Sorrento.
