Could I heartily recommend Riverside. One of the nicest sites we have visited and probably the BEST toilet block ever. So clean you feel compelled to wipe your feet in the way IN! Lovely little adventure playground and even a Zip wire.....

We stayed last week and the weather was so seriously bad we left early. The staff were really understanding and let us credit the nights we missed even though they had no need to do so - was hardly their fault the weather was bad!

Places like this deserve our custom http://www.riversidecaravanpark.co.uk/

I agree, it's a great site. We've been a few times. Great location, access, staff, etc, etc

Forgot to say ... It's privately owned and they also own the local golf club which everyone is welcome at and they serve great meals.

Many years ago we bought a caravan, and this was the first site we ever went to. Was great, and the kids (now in their 30's), loved the play area.

    Not cheap though.

I wouldn't get much change out of 35 quid for a Saturday night if we took the dog with us.
Add 30 quid for diesel and 20 for something to eat and I'd be looking at pretty much a hundred quid for a night out in my MH.

Such a shame we don't have the glorious 4 quid a night French aires. :(

I agree it is a great site but the price is prohibitive for me. I visit regularly however in the car as a friend has a static on the site.

It's a great site even though United Utilities have a sewage works next door which is screened by a very high hedge.
