Yep,
what a way to spend your birthday. Watching my lovely moggy of 17 years take his last breaths before having to bury him.

I truly have never ever felt so gutted

Those cat lovers out there will know exactly what I mean.

At least you had 17 yrs, we had to have our little dog put to sleep at 13 MONTHS, horrible time. At least she's at peace.
Still, sorry for your loss.

So sorry
A cat is such a special part of your life, it leaves a big hole. Hope you have lots of pics to remember your special friend by.

Sorry to hear that Paul, We thought that we would lose our cat of only 6 years earlier this year that was bad enough but thankfully he pulled through.
They become so much part of the family and the house does not seem the same without them. But what a good life he has had 17 years with you and your family.

A truly sad day Paul.

I admit to not being a cat lover, but I can understand absolutely how you feel, having lost pets in the past.

So sorry:_-(

Sorry to hear about your loss, but at least you know that as one of the family he had a great life, and will never be forgotten.

Oh Paul, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.

We love our cat Ollie to bits, that much so, he goes away with us all the time on the weekends.

His long life is a credit to you all.
