Why do you have to advertise to all of us that you are doing so?

Maybe the "non like" people choose to actually send donations themselves rather than have you do it for them.

Just how can a thread put on as a bit of fun end up as a (I like this I don't like that) grumpy old man type thread, the only reason that the question was asked because it was not realised the high number of hits against the likes was because of revisiting the thread by those who have already liked.

Children In Need and Help For Heroes are the charities we support.

On the radio yesterday they said every penny you donate goes to CIN admin costs are covered by other means. Not saying its correct but that's what was said.

There are some sad and miserable folk on this planet! Glad the majority of us are normal. Think some peoples attitude would change if their child or grandchild was ever in need of this wonderful charity. I moan about my ailments and then see these kids suffering, makes me feel humble. BUSBY.

Well I've just spent 3 frig*** hours cutting up and serving cake in aid of Children in need. My back aches, my feet are sore and my jaw hurts from smiling non-stop. We had a GB bake off style competition at work with two local business owners donating prizes and judging the cakes.

Only raised about £100 but is was good fun.

Just got to catch up with my normal work now.oh:

As I happens I had to step in for one of the judges in the savoury category as they turned out to be vegetarian, how unfortunate was that and bless the person that put bacon in their quiche!

You definitely got a like from me. This is not one of my chosen charities and so in a small way I feel I am helping them too....

What a great idea to not only make a donation from yourself and at no cost to anyone else, but to do it in such a way that you include us all and make it into FUN.

Anyone can write out a cheque but to include others this way is also enforcing the name of the charity.... great bit of PR. :thumb: Good on you.
