Just received our Revolut cards and about to top up for the first time.

Is it better to convert £ to € and then spend € or to leave the balance in £ and convert each € transaction individually?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

I've just got one couldn't get one for the boss app only works on Android 5 and higher. Surely it comes down to the exchange rate at the time. If you think it's going to drop convert to Euro now, if you think it will get better hang on.

I haven't got the revolut card yet but for me the beauty of it is that conversion is instantaneous, and as far as I am aware you can keep a credit of both currencies. This enables you to convert when the rate is advantageous and therein lies the problem with all currency conversions, when has it peaked.

I have always tried to hedge my bets and convert a sensible amount when it seems good and hope for the best.

I find it best to watch the conversion rate and change when it's up, also if you don't have enough Euro's changed it will take the whole amount from your £ balance.
