Well done, the buttock clenching bit is drilling the holes, that takes nerve.

Now do a BBQ gas point, that is one BIG hole.

many many years! since I was a kid
just been looking for a folder of photos showing the biggest hole I've cut in a van, but it's missing somewhere. Anyway, I cut a locker door into a van side to disguise damage caused by the previous owner. the end result looked like it had been there from the factory by design and added value to the van. the hardest part is making that first hole

Living the dream.
The biggest hole I ever cut into a van was a type 2 VW Transporter.

I cut the whole roof open to fit a pop up roof into it, buttock clenching? You bet!

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
Husband Mk1 very often took a jigsaw to a car roof, to fit a sunroof. The first time he did it was a friend's car which someone had dented the roof of and the mate exonerated him and helped him with it, getting the template right and so forth.

These things usually turn out OK if you take your time - measure twice (at least!) and cut once!

over a Year Yay................
Put 6 side lights on the van today but before I drilled the holes I went round the van 10 times checking all the measurements before finally comittint to drilling the holes.
They had to be perfect...... obviously.
