    Hi,

I have just purchased a Bessacarr E795 (Fiat Ducato 18 JTD) which has extra reversing aids in the form of lights fitted under the rear section and reversing sensors. However they are not working, nor are the normal factory fitted reversing lights. I can't find a fuse associated with these electrics. Any ideas please?

    Thanks

dont rely on the cab/engine fuse box 'item' markings...seldom are they all marked in the listed order.

fuse box locations can be under dash or under bonnet or both !

the reversing lights and sensors will use the original factory 'reverse light' fuse and its usually just a case of pull fuses and check with a multimeter set to ohm's/continuity.....dont rely on a visual check as the fuse can be faulty without any outward sign.

before you start pulling fuses make sure you have the dash radio code (if needed)

it could also be the actual reverse light switch on the gearbox....if you can locate it then remove the wires and connect together...see if the lights are on....if they are the switch is cabbaged and needs replacing.

    Reversing light switch replaced

As many have found, the reversing light switch was the culprit, it has been replaced and is fine.

As per usual perfectly clear instructions from Pappajohn.........that is right up until "cabbaged"

Checked it in the dictionary and it said.........

Cabbaged..........Mullered / Busted / Kaput / F*ck*d / B*gg*red / Stuffed / US / BO-Laxed / Bollacksed / Nadgered / and it was at this point I began to get the feeling that it might be Broken beyond repair, Yes?
