We sold up and full timed for 3 years in a self built camper. While doing that bought a Dutch barge along the way and spent the next 4 years living in a great barge community near to Dijon.
Used our camper less at this point and sold after 5 years of use, 2 years later started a small business, sold barge and now live in the UK and central France.

We have missed our camper a lot so have just started to look for another but LHD.

Hope we can contribute to the community here from some of our past experiences, and having been out of the loop for a while want to catch up with what's current.

Thank you all for your welcomes, we appreciate that a lot. We are Rosie and Jamie which went well with living on a barge!

Have read a small number topics, my God there are thousands on just about every topic, hadn't realised quite how extensive a good club such as this is, it's a credit to all involved.

We spend a little more time in France at the moment and work hard all winter too, but if anyone gets lost in the northern Auvergne we may be able to get them out of trouble if we are there/here.

Hello from the Dordogne.

I've just bought a LHD motorhome here ( as I live here f/t and couldn't face the re-registering bureaucracy) but there were far better LHD bargains in the UK.

Good Luck with the search.

Where abouts in France ??????????????????:thumb:

In the Allier 03 at the top of the Auvergne.

We are in a small Hameau of 4 homes about mid way between 03000 Moulins and 03100 Montlucon.

Large oak forest across the road and rolling hills all around. Many more cattle and sheep than people, hot in the summer and very cold (but bright) in the winter.
