Just back at Langtoft Towers... after a very enjoyable few days...
I didn't seem to 'meet' anyone [ apart from the delightful threesome that is @Ambilkate ] but then I guess it wasn't a "meet"... and I was off & about enjoying the show & the music .

Thanks of course to @Landy lover for organization, to the @Wombles for all the online information... Not forgetting Phil @Taran_Las for the friendly welcome & precision marshalling .

We borrowed one from a lovely man named Steve in the RV infront of us we could of borrowed a strinmer if we had wanted to

Just catching up after Retro - what a great time! We arrived to the warmest of welcomes from both Bill (@Landy lover) & our lovely Fun marshall Phil (@Taran_Las) so firstly a big to them both & the RVOC marshalls who organised & worked so hard to make this rally a success
Our apologies to those who we didn't get to meet but who might have wanted to say hello especially the ones new to Fun rallies. Normally we are chatting to anyone who will put up with us but we were away from rally field most of the time. Our Solwise system did pick up a lot more than without it earlier in the year at the Showground but the Fon hotspot wasn't brilliant & no unlocked WiFi so we were offline & didn't see any of the posts on here Luckily we still managed to bump into a few of you & we enjoyed meeting @Lenny HB, @Targetpaster & @mexican pete for the first time as well as catching up with those that we have met before
We worked all Thursday & Friday parking up & organising over 400 motorhomes, caravans & tent pitches in the General Camping field as volunteers for Retro then had friends visiting for the day on Saturday followed by watching the excellent headline act Si Cranstoun. Lenny said his act was too good to miss & glad we didn't as he was excellent On Sunday after a late start we spent most of our time in the marquees enjoying the various styles of live music, watching the dancing & soaking up the atmosphere. We had a few final good chats & cups of tea on Monday before leaving - this is definitely one for the diary next year & hopefully with even more Funsters

Many thanks for arranging the Red Arrows flypast was so brief & so far in the distance, my afternoon nap was not disturbed...

Can't take the credit - apparently they flew over the other side of the motorway instead of over the Showground! Like the photos you posted, sorry we missed you & hope to say hi next time

Retrofestival 2017 will be during 11th-13th August & hopefully there will be a Fun rally?! With Bristol Balloon Festival 10th-13th August (Nightglow Thursday 10th ) & Malvern Show 18th-20th August it should be possible to have three meets/rallies for a Summer Of Fun Just need some ideas for a good stop (commercial site with facilities?) between Retro & Malvern for those that may be travelling a distance for these.
