Replacing Leisure Battery (1 Viewer)

Going to replace this tomorrow. If I switch off the charger via the main control panel, can I simply remove/reconnect the battery? Do I need to take off/put back the cables in a particular order? (Terry told me that the battery also charges from the engine when it's running)

It should have a fuse near the battery on the positive wire and you should remove this before starting to remove wires.

black negative wire off first every time and last to put back on. then there is less risk of shorting. switch off charger a couple of hours before disconnecting ideally

No need to turn off the charger, simply unplug from hookup.

As said, battery neg (---) terminal off first, back on last.

............. and if you have any solar panels disconnect them from their controller before doing anything.
