Any idea on the best way to remove a large 'Hymer' transfer from the bodywork?? it's been there from new, and I can get a new one, but not sure how to safely remove the old........Thought of a heat gun, but that could damage the paint underneath.

he never said sensible answers only..

As Vic said.. but I'd use a heat gun , low heat setting and keep it moving..
That's how I did mine on the Autoquest.

Heat gun on low heat use a stanly knife to pick up the edge when you get them off there will be some glue left traffic film remover and a bit of elbow grease will remove the residual glue.
Used this method to remove signage on vehicles I used to buy for my company
especially ex police vehicles getting all that crap they stick to them can be a bit of a job
bill

Another vote for the wallpaper steamer here. Its better with 2 of you, one with the steamer and one pulling the graphic. Start by getting one end of the graphic hot and picking it, then just keep the steamer ahead of the graphic as the other pair of hands pull it off.
