Hi,

Anyone know how to remove a Status 315 omni-directional aerial without leaving a load of sealant and holes behind?

took mine off the kontiki to fit a solar panel... only bit of roof suitable.

i took out the screws and used a 'cheese wire' to slowly cut through the sealer.

removed as much sealer as possible from the roof with a plastic scraper and WD40.

don't use a solvent as it will eat the foam within the roof.

the hole could be a problem (not for me, i used it for solar cable entry) as its about an inch in diameter but Jim's suggestion is the best option.
