Removing Cramer Burner from hob. (1 Viewer)

I have a 1992 motorhome which I dearly love. The Cramer hob has a burner problem. The gasket needs renewing as it's 'farting' flame out the side at the base. Can't get the burner off!! Can anyone give me tips on how to get the burner off - I am not particularly strong in wrist!

does this sound like your problem ?

The flame spreaders do indeed twist about 1/8 of a turn to release and they are often very tight due to being glued down by years of burned on grease.
There is/was a special tool but a big pair of pipe grips will do it.
