Reich Pelikan Cartridge access (1 Viewer)

I have a persistant leak from this kitchen tap and access to the underneath means removing the fridge - which is becoming tiresome... I understand that the top of the tap is removeable allowing me to change the cartridge from above - which sounds nice... Trouble is, for the life of me I cannot fathom how this tap comes apart?

How does the top come off a 'Reich Pelikan' tap, allowing access to the cartridge?

Hi Autoquest, you should have a red / blue plastic part on the lever part of the tap. Prise this out and behind it is an allen screw. Loosen the screw and the tap lever lifts of. From there on it is just a case of removing a locking nut securing the cartridge. You will need a wrench to remove the locking nut as it is quite large, Fit new cartridge and reverse the procedure to re assemble. Make a note of how the red / blue part fits so that it goes back correctly.
