With the pension age going up all the time there will be a lot more people who do not make it to there actual pension. People are not living longer it is just that there are more of the now. Us baby boomers are all getting there but I look around the shows and see some of the not well ones driving around on their scooter I think that they must have had all the intentions of an active retirement but ill health overtook them enough to stop it being as enjoyable as they thought it would be. After all the pension was paid after 65 to men who lasted a year or two after that, being knackered by their jobs and conditions. This was the case with my Father got to 69 but unable to walk.
