I have just reserved a "special" number plate for our new van..... and apologies in advance to David @DuxDeluxe

Our new van will sport the plate:

WE16DUX

could have had WE15DUX but as it will be a "16" van I went for the 16 plate.

Dvla best place to buy as no hidden costs, you can put any plate from anywhere providing it does not lower the age of vehicle from when first registered . i.e March 2015 is AK15ANY whereas sept is AK65ANY

Yep, got ours from DVLA. An agent wanted over £100 more!!!!!!

Van is due to be built in March and imported in April so would have a "16" plate. I am aware that you can't put a new plate on an old vehicle so that if a car is (say) AB01XYZ you couldn't use a retained plate any newer than the 01. Fairly obvious why that is the case
