Asda have Red Ex on offer for two pound a bottle. Is it worth buying with these clean diesel engines? In the sixties when fuel was five bob a gallon they used to sell it on the forecourt at a penny a shot.Them were the days.

It certainly sorted out the injector problem on my Wife's car...

Used to use it on my Motorcycles in the 70's.:thumb:

"Would you like a shot of Redex Sir?" when pumps weren't self service but manned...

If you like manned petrol pumps come to my little town in central Portugal (Avelar)...

...manned (and womanned) pumps there... or would you choose to save money and go to the unmanned pumps at the new Intermarche supermarket?
:winky:

and I never used Redex... was told by my foreman when I was an apprentice motor mechanic that it wasn't worth it... not sure if he was right though...

Used to remove air filter and slowly drizzle it into the carb to free sticking valves on old mogi minor engines, worked a treat but didn't half throw some crap out.
It was used as an upper cylinder lubricant before the days of hardend valve seats.

Hi JJ

I was VERY surprised last year when we were over there...
It takes some getting used to, being served at the pumps again.

Back on thread....Redex is ok in 4 strokes but nothing beats the smell of Castrol "R" in a 2 stroker.... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
