recomendation for Fiat X250 Engine/chassis servicing in Sussex (1 Viewer)

Has anyone got any personal recommendations for engine servicing garages for a fiat x250 base vehicle?

At my last Fiat Service the charge for four and a half litre engine oil was £18 plus vat. They are also 'Approved Workshop' for Motorhome Servicing.

Crawley Down Group between East Grinstead and Crawley, on the A264 near the Dukes Head Pub. Major group with about 8 or 9 dealerships including a Fiat car and commercial franchise. All their servicing for dealerships is done on the one site. They do commercial MOTs on site as well.

Another vote for Lancing Commercial, superb family run company and very reasonable prices, Crawley Down are good, but not as good as Lancing Commercial and they will charge you 3 times the price.

We had the Alternator replaced at Eurovans Crawley and found them good (handy as right next to train station so could drop off and collect without much hassle)
We had MOT at Swifts in Worthing which has some good feedback.
Having said that I have asked both Companies for a quote to replace the clutch and had to chase Eurovans and am still waiting for Swift to reply (phoned last Tuesday and e-mailed Yesterday)

A bit of a journey for us, but I will ask Lancing next time, but I would doubt that they would a third of the price unless they charge less that £100 for service and MOT!!

Agree with Lenny, at my last Service (oil & filter change) plus MOT (Sep 2014) at Lancing Commercial -total cost inclusive VAT = £129.45

Light service at CD about £250, LC £120, OK twice the price, CD labour rates are twice LC, oil 4 times the price £80 LC £20.

Thanks everyone, have used EUROVANS before but they are pricy. Will contact Lancing and get a quote, do you know if they use Fiat parts, or am I worrying too much about fiat parts for a 4 year old 25,000 mile van?

They will if you ask them, for any serious work like cam belt they always recommend Fiat parts, but will do what the customer wants.
