Cant find this on a search but here goes!
I read somewhere that the blue stuff shouldn't be added until you are ready to go away.

So to keep the loo smelling fresh when not in use, can I add a washing bio tablet now, then add the blue when we are going away?

I'm thinking its a double dose and one will cancel out the other.

I'm not sure if I can add the blue now but leave in 2 weeks?

Its a Thetford cassette loo.

Thank you for that video @PP Bear. I've avoided using the loo so far, and going by the informative tone of your post I thought it would be a useful educational video about how to use one. I am now traumatised

I'd have said there was a lot of educational info in the video.

Firstly, don't overfill.

Secondly, it's the result of the lack of the blue stuff we keep mentioning.

Thirdly, if you can get a Doris to do it, spot on.

Why put any chemicals in at all? SH1T is a perfectly natural substance which breaks down perfectly well once disposed of into a sewerage system.

You ain't seen mine:LOL::whistle:

having worked in the sewage industry. and having to empty caravan site sewage systems and small local sewage works ,where the good baxcteria as been killed off by chemical toilers being tipped in them. most caravan sites do have special places to tip chemical toilets not into sewage systems . you really wouldnt use chemicals .
its cost thousands down here in summer for sites to empty their small sewage works and us bring in good clean normal sewage to correct the fault. yes good sewage as the correct bacteria .
it amazed me , i found it all very interesting and kept coming back in summer to work again in the sewage . .i also worked in fresh water works that was interesting as well.
but sewage won most years .
i recommend every one contact your local water board visit a sewage works and fresh water works . they usually allow you to have a tour . really interesting .

Only ever used water. Stopped using chemicals when we had a tin tent.

SOG is what you need.

My friend says he wouldn't be interested in one of those tours as he was a season ticket holder at Sunderland FC last season and has had a belly full of sh*t. I guess it was down to bad bacteria:LOL:
