20 years (unless you count my dads VW which makes it 52 years with a few gaps!!)
I don't know what model you have but mine are fixed under the drop down bed, as reading lights. the problem was that they go off 10 minutes after turning the ignition off as they are linked to the battery saver to prevent flattening the battery if left on.(they are originally the courtesy cab lights) I rewired mine to the habitation lighting circuit so I can actually use them! If you are wiring a tracker you need a permanent live. sorry I cant be more help.

If you are still looking for a permanent live in that area try the radio yellow? Feed which is behind the radio installation.

Thanks for the replies.

It seems I may have explained things incorrectly maybe?

No problem with the lights at the front in the cab, all works ok etc etc

No problem with the permanent feed and yes used the radio feeds.

My problem was i needed either a positive or negative feed that activates the cab lights in the front.
From the front door i have a permanent earth so can use that, unlike old school door switch.
Now the live is only live with the door closed as soon as you open the door the voltage has a large drop and the interior lights come on in the front of the cab.

The tracker needs a feed to tell it to work from the door either a positive or negative, there are two options with the tracker.

That is my problem :(
