make sure the radio is properly earthed and the aerial plug is pushed fully home.

Radio aerial

Hi I had the same problem bought one of those easy enough to fit and worked well then we had a very hot day and it fell off snapping the wires so now in the bin.
I have now run a coax lead from my status aerial which has a radio socket on the booster and this works well

Aerial is only going to work well if it sticks up into the air clear of the bodywork! Anything stuck to the window will be a massive compromise; neat but poor.

Some stubby roof mounted aerials popular at the back of many cars has a small amplifier in the base fed with 12V. No 12V, rubbish signal so worth checking fuses etc along with connects mentioned previously.

Good luck :)
