We will be inland Andalusia and Murcia December and January. If it gets too cold we may wish to escape to the coast for a few days. Any suggestions for small, quiet sites? Even better if walking and cycling nearby. Does such a thing exist?

Not coastal but a lovely small family run site with good cycle, walking options. Andres and his wife have made us really welcome on a couple of visits. Short walk into nearby town and am told it is possible to cycle along a path to Murcia......... never done it, too much like hard work !:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You could do worse than a couple of nights here. Free wifi.

Thanks for that Bryan. Looks good. We will be visiting friends near there in January so will give it a try.

We've used this site several times, last time 2 weeks ago. Its a great little site, and as Brian said, Juan and Trini really make you welcome:thumb:
My wife and I cycled into Murcia last time, only 8 kms each way:whatthe:, but you can get the bus in from Alquerias, it takes about 45 minutes and costs about 1.70 euros each.
This site is very popular with the French.

I see it's an ACSI site, so it's 16€ low season and gets very good reviews.

PS:If you click on the Tent icon you get their standard prices for the different seasons.

They do a good rate for long stay! :thumb:
We pay €280 a month for over 3 months stay. Not sure what 1 or 2 months is - I'd need to check in reception.
EHU is extra but we get 10kw a day included in the monthly rate and any excess is (I think!) 25c per kw.

Marie, we got ourselves all sorted with Carmen and are booked in on 16th April for a couple of weeks as we go along the coast. We are looking forward to our stay there, we prefer peaceful places that we can cycle without intimidation, we can leave the car on the trailer!!
