I read a recent thread and did not believe it but I can confirm that the new water pump I fitted last year now pumps a reasonable amount of water after swapping the wires over.
Thought I had a duff pump as the flow was very slow with red to red and blue to blue connected. Changed the wires to red to blue and blue to red and what a difference it has made.
