Hi, on our New Year trip to Cornwall we had need of a late stopover on our way to Cornwall, we were going wild but were lucky enough to find the Avon Inn Pub, in Avonwick, South Brent (TQ10 9NB). The Landlord Dennis was most amiable and let us stay on his car park overnight, to say thank you we obliged by having a couple of drinks and a meal, which were excellent (Cant beat real Ale). There is also access to a water tap. The Car Park was flat and the road adjacent not too busy so we had a good nights sleep. Dennis has said he would welcome some stopovers so Tel: 01364473475 or email dfreressmith@hotmail.co.uk to make arrangements.

Devon Pub Stopover

Hi everyone,
New members here, we are John and Terri, just bought our first Motorhome (Apache 640 se) and thrilled to bits with it. Just thought we would update this pub stopover as it is actually our local!
It has new ownership of Gary and Karen, since March. Pub is transformed, new menu of real traditional pub/comfort food of all the traditionals, well served, plentiful and very reasonable prices. eg; Chilli and Rice £5.95, Cottage Pie with fresh veg £6.95, they do beautiful steaks too. However, the real advantage is that there is a full childrens menu and ALL food is now served all day upto 11pm. The car park is flat, good size, would take 3 MH's upto 24' easily. The garden bordering the carpark edges the River Avon.
Give it a whirl, and ask for us at the bar, we're in there more than we should be! Enjoy!:thumb:
