Well, i sorted the lesiure battery problem, so now I have two, plenty of juice for an extended stay without EHU. I also made and painted, a cover for the rear of the seat base, i did,nt have one, and now with a battery under there it would look unsightly.
I also changed the stereo, one i bought at a show last year was rubbish, so it was replaced with a known good one that was in the workshop "in case it comes in handy", mucho better sound.
I then adjusted the drivers door a bit, and turned around the sealing rubber, in an attempt to stop the bit of wind noise I get, its particularly irritating, as i,m nearly deaf in the left ear, so rely on te right one:Angry:
I loaded it with some more bits and bobs for next weekend, and hopefully during the week, it will get a wash.

Well done now go and get a NHS hearing aid, they are good and you are entitled to one, come back into the real world, you will be surprised at what you are missing!

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim, but I can understand the door adjustment bit but what did you mean by turn around the rubber seal?

I drive a new style Fiat van for work but the Moho is the previous model and the wind noise around the door was very bad when I first got the van. I don't know how the previous owner put up with it. The new style van doesn't seem to suffer this problem at all - which might be why I notice it?

Done a little adjustment to the door (but I'm too chicken to give it a proper "adjustment") so installed some additional D shape draft proofing to meet with the standard door seal. But wondered if I'm missing a trick with the door seal when I read your post.

I,m only giving it a go mate. There is a 2ft long section that sits on the lip on the body, not the door. It follows the line of the door opening like a boomerang. I took it off, turned it around, and refitted it. I only did it to see if there is any improvement, if there is, I,ll buy new.

With rubber seals, some of the manufacturers original equipment falls way short of the mark. For the garage, i used a seal that is sold in car spares shops for the boot of cars. There are specialist seal manufacturers online, you can normally match yours with one of theirs, a bit of lateral thinking required I think:thumb:

Yes, thanks. I can see what you're talking about. Might give that a go too if the extra draft excluders I've put on are no good.

They do have a minimum order of £40, but in some cases, you may find that may be cheaper than original equipment from a dealer, or you can sell on.
