Ok people,

Please excuse us if this seems a stupid question. We are looking into buying a Kampa Motor Rally Air Pro 390 awning.
Having looked on several websites for sizes, prices etc, it seems that the critical bit is the height from the ground to the groove in the motorhome awning, ok got that bit but, they are advertised as either a caravan one (sorry for swearing ) or a motorhome one, so the question is are they different in any way or do they actually fit either ?

Any help would be much appreciated, and if anyone has one are they ok ?

Mark & Anne.

OK firstly, we don't have the awning you describe, we have a fiamma privacy room.

Now on to the specifics. A caravan tends to have an awning rail on the side, so that you can slot an awning in and attach it to the van. Whereas a motorhome tends not to have such a rail. The awnings are usually designed to attach to the roll out awning which is fixed to the van.

I think you will find that the difference is in the circumference of the webbing that slides into the groove. For caravans it will be thicker as it goes direct into the awning rail. For Motorhomes the webbing slides into a channel on any wind out canopy (Fiamma, Omnister etc) and is narrower.

Info as per post above - was obviously typing whilst others posted!!
